Glassware sourcing FAQ
MOQ, samples, lead time, quality control, payment and shipping for glassware from Shanxi, China.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Hand-blown items usually start from 300–600 pieces per design; machine-made items from 1,000–3,000 pieces. Stock designs with your own logo or packaging can start lower. Tell us your quantity and we will find a factory that fits.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. Existing designs ship as samples in 3–7 days; new custom designs take 7–15 days for sampling. Sample fees are usually refunded once the bulk order is placed. Express shipping is paid by the buyer.
What is the typical production lead time?
Most orders take 30–45 days after sample approval and deposit. Hand-blown, colored or decorated items and peak season (August–November) may take longer. We give a confirmed schedule with the proforma invoice.
Do your perfume bottles fit standard perfume pumps?
Most of our perfume bottles use a 15 mm crimp neck (FEA 15), which fits standard crimp pumps and collars; screw-neck versions are also available. We can supply bottle, pump, collar and cap as a tested set, and send samples so you can check fit and spray before mass production.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a sourcing and export company based in Qixian, Shanxi, the center of China’s hand-blown glassware industry. We work with a network of vetted local factories and match each product to the factory best suited for it, then manage samples, production follow-up, quality inspection and shipping for you.
Where are the products made?
Mainly in Qixian County, Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, which produces more than 60% of China’s hand-blown glassware and exports over 70% of its output to 80+ countries (Xinhua, 2026). Some machine-made and borosilicate lines come from other Shanxi factories.
Can you customize logo, color and packaging?
Yes. Logos by decal, screen printing, sandblasting, etching or laser engraving; any Pantone color by spray coating or solid colored glass; gold/platinum rims; and custom gift boxes, color boxes, PVC boxes or export cartons with your barcode.
How do you control quality?
We inspect at three stages: raw glass and first articles, in-line during production, and pre-shipment (AQL 2.5 / 4.0 by default). We check dimensions, capacity, bubbles, stones, cords, thickness, decoration and packing. Photos and videos are sent before shipping. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Intertek) is welcome.
Are your glasses food safe and lead-free?
Our soda-lime, borosilicate and crystal glass ranges are lead-free. We can arrange food-contact testing to FDA, LFGB or EU 1935/2004 requirements, and dishwasher or thermal-shock tests, through accredited labs.
What payment terms do you accept?
Standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T and 70% before shipment (against copy of B/L for established customers). L/C at sight and PayPal for samples are also accepted.
How do you pack glass to avoid breakage?
Each piece is wrapped or separated by paper dividers, packed in inner boxes, then in 5-ply export cartons that pass drop tests. Fragile items can be palletized. Breakage within agreed tolerance is compensated or replaced in the next order.
Which shipping terms and ports do you use?
We quote EXW, FOB Tianjin/Qingdao, CIF/CFR or DDP to many countries. Sea freight is most common for full or LCL loads; air and express for urgent or small orders.
